IUC VLIR UOS PROGRAM - UCB
The program focuses on reducing the socio-ecological vulnerability of rural and urban communities, supporting the generation of knowledge, know-how and practical tools to respond, adapt and anticipate problems, creating sustainable and inclusive solutions. All of the above contributes to increasing community resilience in the face of the challenges generated by climate change, environmental degradation, migration and urbanization.
The VLIR-UOS program of the Bolivian Catholic University "San Pablo" contributes to the development of Bolivian society by improving institutional capacity in Cochabamba, La Paz, Santa Cruz and Tarija. In the last decade, Bolivia faced rapid economic, legal, social, climatic and environmental changes that affected the availability of resources, agricultural production, food security, and productive and social development. These changes have put urban and rural communities in vulnerable circumstances, especially for women, girls, boys and adolescents.
To this end, Transdisciplinary Learning Communities (CTA) have been developed in the four regions of the UCB: Cochabamba, La Paz, Santa Cruz and Tarija.
